Here’s a sketch I did in return for a vintage fountain pen. Yes, dear reader, you have learned my dirty secret. I love and collect fountain pens, especially old ones with nice flexible nibs.

My ‘client’ requested a science fiction scene, with a nude or scantily clad future woman. He left the materials up to me. Since I draw nude girls on a regular basis (my weekly gig for People Magazine) I thought I’d give her some clothes, but leave them revealing.

I tried out a new watercolour pencil here. Quite fun – you draw and add water to make a wash. In practice, think it’s easier to do a wash the old-fashioned way; with a pre-mixed bottle of ink.
