MIGA Dog Character
Here is a commercial character design for MIGA – a medical insurance group through The Drawing Book and Hammond and Thackery (H&T).
The brief was to create a mascot that was cute and amicable, without being childish. He was to be a Cattle Dog or Kelpie, and have an air of expertise.
Below are some of the sketches (there were a lot more in development) that led us to our loyal, best friend…
Below, the final renders. Drawn by hand in Photoshop.
Thanks for stopping by!

I never cease to be amazed by your talent!
Did the client choose the design based from all your sketches or did you do the choice yourself?
Thanks, Christophe. The client chooses, but it’s a collaborative effort – a lot of client meetings and revisions before the final result.
Oh bugger, I should not come here!!
Cheers Anton…
