Here are my submissions for the 2011 Australian Cartoonists Associations annual Stanley Awards to be held in Sydney…

Original brush and ink drawing, with light ink wash and oil pencil…

Upon opening my mailbox today, I was very surprised to find not only my ugly mug on the cover of the Australian Cartoonists Association’s Inkspot magazine (beautifully drawn by Luke Watson), but a nice print of the ‘Boston Beardos’ article art (superbly scribbled by Jason Chatfield) that’s going straight to the pool room!..

Next week is opening night for the Illustrators Australia A3 print show. Come along to the Fraser Studios (10-14 Kensington St, Chippendale, Sydney) on Friday 19th August, have a drink, look at some beautiful artwork (and mine) and maybe even buy a print.  They are very reasonably priced, and are printed using the Gyclee process
