It's been a cracker year, and a big part of my schedule was spent drawing cover art for The Spectator magazine. This year they've even unleashed me on the UK edition, and I've been enjoying experimenting a little with style; swinging between 'line and colour' and more painterly looks. Below is a compilation of my covers (and a few articles) from 2012. Large file, sorry! Please click for a closer view. You can also search all the individual cover art posts on the blorg.
While I haven't had to draw them as many times as daily newspaper cartoonists, I've certainly become pretty familiar with the faces of our politicians. Next year is an election year, so the mud is sure to be slinging again! Lots of fodder for cover art, I'm sure.
Till then, have a great break. I'll be back in the saddle on Jan 7th.
