Back in the ‘good ol’ days’ there was a lot of work for illustrators and cartoonists in the print media. Magazines and newspapers would commission artists to illustrate their articles as a way to add interest - and in the best cases - add opinion and intellect to the piece. These were my most exciting, challenging, and satisfying jobs - often with tight deadlines and a lot of creative freedom.
