E-Government

A little process: I created some quick thumbnail roughs for the concept: #1 with "Big Brother is Texting You", a parody of the 1984 imagery; #2 is a person bombarded by electronic communication; #3 is The Queen texting all her subjects from the Royal balcony; and #4 of a woman being given information and paperwork through her tablet device.

The client chose #4, so I drew up a sketch for approval. When it came to the rendering I felt that this would look good with more natural brushwork, so I printed the sketch out and inked it over a lightbox.  Next I scanned it back in, cleaned up the linework and added colour.

The art appears on the cover of Business Technology, distributed with the Daily and Sunday Telegraph in the UK.  Grab a copy if you're in that neck of the woods!
